Finished off a pair of pages that capture Isaac's fascination with looking out the window. Both pages were created for challenges from Splitcoast Stampers: the Scrappers Inspiration Challenge - SIC83 Leaves on your page where you earn points and can get a prize for your work and also using the sketch from SBSC259.
Had lots of fun with the chipboard, I am not confident doing things to chipboard, but I got brave and coloured it with ruby red ink and white ink, stamped on it and even put a rub-on word on one! Love the results too!
The colour palette for the pages was set by the leaf DSP - SU! More Mustard, Ruby Red, Elegant Eggplant, Always Artichoke, Soft Suede. Was lucky to find scrapbook size paper in my stash that was the right tones.
The layers of paper have sponged edges to lift them. I love sponging, totally addicted and it seems to feature in almost everything I do!
Only a 2 stamps used: SU! Lovely as a tree, Sprinkles.

Window Watching
Time for some scrapbooking! Brad is off to the Motor Bike GP so I have a night of peace to make a mess!
I decided that I would join in the scrapbooking challenge at Split Coast stampers, so this month I am aiming for 6 pages which is 3 doubles usually for me. At some point Isaac's first year will get scrapped! Then it was suggested that I checkout the inspiration challenge they offer a monthly prize package and I had lots of fun!
Here's the link for the inspiration challenges http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/scrapbook-inspiration-f126/
So inspiration challenge SIC83 was to use leaves and I also used the sketch from SBSC259 to give the structure. It was really fun finding all the leaves in my stash and having them spread out to see what went together. I was quite pleased to find I had paper to match the SU! Autumn Traditions DSP as it really was perfect for the challenge.
There is a pair page, but its still under construction!

Medallion
Been eager to play with my new medallion stamp and finally got an opportunity with Brad out for an evening! While trawling through http://www.splitcoaststampers.com I saw the technique challenge TLC293 for a split image and could immediately visualise this card, and off I went. I really am totally in love with Rich Razzleberry, such a gorgeous solid colour!
The medallion is double stamped first with Rich Razzleberry and then with the white image slightly misaligned to give a shadow effect. Thanks Genna!! Then I sponged the edges with Rich Razzleberry providing extra effect. The image was just then sliced up and adhered to the white card with a small gap. I added diamonds to the small circles in the medallion as it needed something to boost it, the silver thread and bigger diamond we added at the end and really tied it together perfectly. Overall, delighted with my effort!

Helping Hudson Week 3: Sketch Challenge
I created this card for the sketch challenge this week for Helping Hudson. Quite happy with the result, I mixed it up a little putting the vertical piece over the patterned piece and then popping out a flower on top. Still on my Rich Razzleberry kick :-)

Helping Hudson Week 3: Colour Challenge
This weeks colour challenge was to use just 1 colour and 1 neutral. I love the simplicity in these sorts of cards!
With an engagement party on this weekend I had a theme, and at the moment I just adore the tones of Rich Razzleberry. Decided to put it with Going Grey and couldn't resist playing again withe these beautiful stamp sets. I saw a card that a friend swapped that used the roller in a similar fashion and wanted to try it. I just love the outcome!

Helping Hudson - Sketch Challenge Take 2!
After some thought, I decided to have another go with a couple of techniques recently learned and try again with the circle sketch. Much happier with this card, its nice and simple, although the effort to create the scene is not so simple!
Using a misty markers technique, I made the background a "sunset".
Markers: Not Quite Navy, Garden Green, Ruby Red, Summer Sun, Really Rust
Then using another technique I created a scene with a reflection of the Tree's from StampinUp! Lovely as a Tree
Paper: Handsome Hunter and Creamy Caramel, Gloss White
The string is just some white kitchen string, tied around.

Helping Hudson - Sketch Challenge
The sketch challenge really was quite a challenge! I like circles and use them in my scrapbooking often and smaller circles on cards but never like this before.
My first attempt I dont particularly like. With a regular sized card the circles are smallish and I was just not happy with the outcome.
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Barely Banana, retired DSP
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Ribbon Barely Banana
